Area Sales Manager - Surgical Equipment Sales

Key Responsibilities

• Achieve and exceed sales targets for surgical equipment in the assigned territory.
• Develop and implement territory sales strategies aligned with company objectives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with surgeons, hospital administrators, and procurement teams.
• Conduct product demonstrations, workshops, and training sessions for healthcare professionals.
• Identify new business opportunities and expand market share for surgical portfolio.
• Monitor competitor activities and provide market intelligence to management.
• Ensure timely reporting of sales activities, forecasts, and customer feedback.
• Collaborate with marketing and clinical teams to support product launches and promotional campaigns.
• Adhere to compliance, regulatory, and ethical standards in all interactions.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelors degree in Science, Pharmacy, Biomedical Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred).
• 5–8 years of sales experience in medical devices/pharmaceuticals, with at least 2–3 years in surgical equipment sales.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing hospital accounts.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, instruments, and hospital procurement processes.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a team of sales representatives (if applicable).
