Area Sales Manager - (Commercial Vehicle)

Job Summary

We are looking for a results-driven Area Sales Manager (ASM) to drive sales and business development for electric commercial vehicles in the assigned territory. The candidate will be responsible for achieving sales targets, acquiring new fleet customers, developing existing accounts, expanding EV adoption and ensuring a strong customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive sales volume, revenue and market-share growth across the assigned territory.
• Identify and acquire new customers, including fleet owners, transporters, institutional customers and corporate accounts.
• Develop long-term relationships with existing customers to generate repeat business and expand fleet orders.
• Promote electric commercial vehicles by communicating their operating-cost benefits, suitability and business value to customers.
• Develop territory-wise sales plans, customer account plans and new-business opportunities.
• Monitor customer requirements, vehicle deployment and fleet performance; identify opportunities to improve utilisation and customer value.
• Act as the primary point of contact for customers and coordinate with Service, Operations, Product and Finance teams to resolve issues.

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum 7 years of professional experience, preferably in the automobile or commercial-vehicle industry.
• Strong experience in commercial-vehicle sales, business development or territory sales.
• Experience handling fleet owners, transporters, institutional customers, corporate accounts or key customers.
• Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure customer satisfaction.

Preferred Experience

• Experience selling LCV, ICV, SCV, HCV, MHCV, trucks or buses.
• Exposure to fleet operations, vehicle utilisation, uptime or fleet performance management.
• Experience with leading commercial-vehicle OEMs, dealerships or fleet-focused businesses.
