We are looking for a dynamic Area Sales Manager to strengthen our presence in Chennai and Tamil Nadu by developing new business and delivering sustainable sales growth.

About the Role

The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales, expanding market presence, developing channel partners, and managing key customer relationships within the assigned territory. The role requires strong technical sales expertise, solution selling, and effective coordination with internal teams to deliver exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Achieve monthly and annual sales targets for the assigned territory.
• Develop new business opportunities across industrial, construction, infrastructure, EPC, municipal, mining, and water management sectors.
• Promote Cosmos Pumps' complete range of dewatering, drainage, sludge, slurry, sewage, and auto-prime pumping solutions.
• Build strong relationships with consultants, contractors, OEMs, project customers, dealers, and distributors.
• Identify and appoint new channel partners while supporting the existing dealer network.
• Handle techno-commercial discussions, quotations, negotiations, and order finalization.
• Participate in tendering activities and project discussions.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Service, Production, Logistics, and Finance teams for smooth order execution.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements.
• Ensure timely collection of outstanding payments and maintain healthy receivables.
• Prepare sales forecasts, pipeline reports, MIS, and market intelligence reports.
• Represent Cosmos Pumps at customer meetings, exhibitions, and industry events.

What We're Looking For

• BE/B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 5–10 years of experience in Industrial Sales, Project Sales, or Technical Sales.
• Proven experience in business development and achieving sales targets.
• Strong technical understanding of pumps or industrial equipment.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
