Job Description: Area Operations Manager – NSO (New Store Opening)

Job Purpose
To manage new store openings across multiple brands, ensuring timely execution, operational readiness, SOP compliance, staff training, and a smooth launch of every outlet.
Key Responsibilities
1. New Store Opening (NSO)
- Manage end-to-end new outlet opening activities from site handover to launch.
- Coordinate with franchise partners, project teams, vendors, and internal departments.
- Ensure civil work, interiors, signage, kitchen equipment, and utilities are completed on time.
- Prepare and execute a detailed pre-opening checklist.
- Ensure all required licenses, equipment, raw materials, and operational systems are ready before launch.
2. Franchise Operations & Coordination
- Coordinate with franchise partners during setup and pre-opening.
- Ensure compliance with brand standards, SOPs, recipes, and service guidelines.
- Conduct outlet inspections and readiness audits.
- Resolve operational issues during setup and initial operations.
3. Staff Recruitment & Training
- Coordinate recruitment and deployment of outlet staff.
- Train teams on menu preparation, customer service, hygiene, billing, and daily operations.
- Ensure staff readiness before the grand opening.
4. Launch & Post-Opening Support
- Supervise the opening day and initial stabilization period.
- Monitor sales, food cost, wastage, customer feedback, and service quality.
- Support outlets for the first 7–15 days after opening.
- Ensure a smooth handover to the regular operations team.
5. Reporting & Performance Monitoring
- Maintain an NSO tracker covering project status, budgets, timelines, and pending tasks.
- Submit weekly progress reports to management.
- Identify delays, cost overruns, and operational risks and recommend corrective actions.
Required Skills
- Strong project coordination and execution skills.
- Knowledge of QSR, café, restaurant, or salon operations.
- Experience in franchise-led businesses and multi-unit expansion.
- Vendor management, staff training, and problem-solving abilities.
- Willingness to travel extensively across India.
