Architect

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior MDM Architect to design and build a custom, warehouse-native Customer Master Data Hub from the ground up. This is not an MDM product configuration role (no Informatica, Reltio, Profisee, SAP MDG, etc.). The solution is built using Snowflake, dbt, PostgreSQL, and SQL-based business logic.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement customer/party master data models.
• Build entity resolution, record matching, and identity resolution frameworks.
• Develop probabilistic matching, survivorship rules, and merge/unmerge processes.
• Create crosswalks, lineage tracking, and golden record strategies.
• Model customer hierarchies and relationships.
• Write and optimize advanced SQL for large-scale datasets.
• Implement data pipelines and testing using dbt.

Required Skills

• Strong experience with MDM architecture and data modeling.
• Hands-on expertise in entity resolution, record linkage, and probabilistic matching.
• Experience designing survivorship rules and golden records.
• Advanced SQL skills (CTEs, window functions, MERGE operations, performance tuning).
• Strong experience with Snowflake, PostgreSQL, and dbt.
• Experience building custom MDM/identity resolution solutions from scratch.

Nice to Have

• Python for data engineering.
• Graph/network-based identity resolution.
• AI/ML, embeddings, or vector similarity for entity matching.
• Data stewardship and governance frameworks.

Important: Candidates with primarily commercial MDM tool implementation experience (Informatica, Reltio, SAP MDG, Profisee, Ataccama) will not be a fit unless they have strong hands-on experience designing and building custom MDM solutions.
