About the Role AppXcess Technologies is seeking an experienced

ArcGIS Developer to join our Geospatial Solutions and Enterprise Applications team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise GIS solutions using the Esri ArcGIS platform. You will build GIS-centric business applications, configure enterprise workflows, develop web and mobile GIS solutions, integrate ArcGIS with enterprise systems, and support Smart City initiatives for government and enterprise clients. This role requires hands-on experience with ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro, Workflow Manager, Experience Builder, Survey123, Field Maps, Dashboards, ArcGIS Hub, and ArcGIS REST APIs. You will collaborate with Business Analysts, GIS Specialists, Software Engineers, Cloud Engineers, and stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and innovative geospatial solutions.

Working Hours This is a

fully remote position supporting our

United States (Pacific Time Zone - PST/PDT) operations. Candidates are expected to work during

US Pacific Time business hours and maintain consistent availability throughout the workday. As the role involves close collaboration with US-based clients, cross-functional teams, and stakeholders, candidates must be comfortable working in the

US Pacific Time Zone (PST/PDT) and participating in project discussions, client meetings, deployment activities, and production support during those hours. Strong communication, accountability, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment are essential.

Key Responsibilities ArcGIS Solution Development

• Design, develop, configure, and maintain enterprise GIS solutions using ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online.
• Develop custom GIS applications using ArcGIS Experience Builder, ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript, and ArcGIS REST APIs.
• Build responsive web GIS applications and interactive mapping solutions for internal users and public-facing portals.
• Publish and manage feature services, map services, geoprocessing services, and image services.
• Develop reusable GIS components, custom widgets, and enterprise GIS applications.

Enterprise Workflow Development

• Configure and implement business workflows using ArcGIS Workflow Manager.
• Design dynamic approval workflows for departments including Public Works, Animal Control, Code Enforcement, Planning, City Clerk, Legal, and City Manager.
• Configure workflow templates, approval stages, conditional routing, escalations, notifications, and automated task assignments.
• Implement workflow automation using ArcGIS Notebooks, Python scripting, webhooks, and REST APIs.
• Support business process automation and workflow optimization initiatives.

GIS Data Management

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise geodatabases using ArcGIS Pro.
• Create and manage GIS datasets including parcels, zoning, streets, utilities, facilities, work orders, inspections, assets, and service requests.
• Perform spatial analysis, geocoding, routing, network analysis, and geoprocessing.
• Ensure spatial data quality, integrity, governance, and version control.
• Optimize enterprise geodatabases for scalability and performance.

Field Mobility & Survey Solutions

• Develop digital forms using ArcGIS Survey123.
• Configure mobile GIS applications using ArcGIS Field Maps.
• Enable offline data collection, GPS tracking, inspection workflows, digital signatures, and photo capture.
• Support field inspection, work order management, and asset management solutions.
• Develop inspection templates and mobile workforce solutions.

Dashboard & Reporting

• Develop operational dashboards using ArcGIS Dashboards.
• Build executive dashboards for City Managers, Department Heads, Supervisors, and Public Users.
• Create KPI dashboards covering service requests, inspections, work orders, response times, employee workloads, operational performance, and asset health.
• Configure real-time reporting and spatial analytics.

Citizen Potal Development

• Develop citizen engagement portals using ArcGIS Hub and Experience Builder.
• Configure online service request forms, public dashboards, zoning maps, open data portals, and project tracking applications.
• Build user-friendly GIS applications to improve citizen engagement and accessibility.

System Integration

• Integrate ArcGIS solutions with ERP, CRM, Document Management Systems, SharePoint, Asset Management Systems, and Workflow Platforms.
• Develop integrations using ArcGIS REST APIs, Python API, JSON, XML, Webhooks, and RESTful web services.
• Support secure authentication, Single Sign-On (SSO), and enterprise security implementations.
• Collaborate with development teams to build scalable enterprise integration solutions.

AI & Automation

• Integrate ArcGIS workflows with AI-powered services for document summarization, agenda summaries, inspection summaries, intelligent case classification, duplicate detection, and natural language search.
• Develop automation using Python, ArcPy, ArcGIS API for Python, and scheduled notebooks.
• Automate notifications, workflow progression, reporting, and data synchronization.

Performance Optimization & Support

• Monitor, maintain, and optimize ArcGIS Enterprise environments.
• Troubleshoot application, workflow, map service, and database performance issues.
• Optimize map rendering, spatial queries, service caching, and geoprocessing performance.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement long-term improvements.
• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 technical support for enterprise GIS applications.

Collaboration & Documentation

• Collaborate with GIS Analysts, Business Analysts, Software Engineers, QA Engineers, Cloud Engineers, and Project Managers.
• Participate in solution architecture discussions, sprint planning, code reviews, and Agile development activities.
• Prepare technical documentation, deployment guides, configuration manuals, SOPs, and knowledge base articles.
• Support production deployments and end-user training.

Required Skills

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in ArcGIS application development and enterprise GIS implementation.
• Strong expertise in ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Pro.
• Hands-on experience with ArcGIS Experience Builder, ArcGIS Workflow Manager, ArcGIS Survey123, ArcGIS Field Maps, ArcGIS Dashboards, and ArcGIS Hub.
• Strong knowledge of ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Proficiency in Python, ArcPy, and ArcGIS API for Python.
• Experience developing and consuming ArcGIS REST APIs and Web Services.
• Strong understanding of enterprise geodatabases and spatial data modelling.
• Experience with SQL Server, PostgreSQL/PostGIS, Oracle Spatial, or other enterprise databases.
• Strong knowledge of GIS concepts including coordinate systems, projections, topology, spatial analysis, geocoding, routing, and network analysis.
• Experience integrating ArcGIS with enterprise applications and cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure or AWS cloud environments.
• Strong analytical, debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, GIS, Geoinformatics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Esri ArcGIS Developer Certification or Esri Technical Certification is highly preferred.
• Experience working on Government, Smart City, Public Works, Utilities, Transportation, Asset Management, or Land Management projects.
• Knowledge of DevOps, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines is an added advantage.
• Experience implementing enterprise workflow automation and document management integrations.
