Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Arc Welder to join our team at Stonemart Building Solution in Chennai. The candidate will be responsible for welding metal components and structural steel parts as per technical drawings, quality standards, and safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform arc welding on steel structures, metal frames, and fabrication components.
• Read and understand basic engineering drawings and welding symbols.
• Prepare metal surfaces, joints, and components before welding.
• Ensure proper weld quality, strength, and finishing.
• Inspect welded joints and rectify welding defects when required.
• Operate welding machines and maintain welding tools and equipment.
• Follow workplace safety procedures and use appropriate PPE.
• Coordinate with fabrication and production teams to complete work on schedule.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• ITI / Diploma in Welding, Fabrication, or a related trade preferred.
• Experience in arc welding and metal fabrication.
• Knowledge of welding electrodes, welding techniques, and joint preparation.
• Ability to work with structural steel and fabrication materials.
• Knowledge of workplace safety practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Experience:

• 1 to 3 years of experience in arc welding and steel fabrication preferred.
• Experience in civil construction, cladding systems, or structural steel fabrication will be an advantage.
