Application Support Engineer

Mandatory Skills

• 510 years of experience in Java development and/or L3 Application Support.
• Strong hands-on experience in Core Java, J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot, and REST APIs.
• Strong expertise in Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, and query optimization.
• Experience working with application servers such as Tomcat, WebLogic, JBoss, or similar.
• Hands-on experience in production troubleshooting using application logs, thread dumps, heap dumps, and monitoring tools.
• Experience in L2/L3 application support, production incident management, and root cause analysis.
• Working knowledge of ITSM tools such as ServiceNow.
• Good understanding of ITIL processes, including Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
• Strong analytical, debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a production support environment and handle critical incidents within defined SLAs.

Good to Have Skills

• Build tools and CI/CD: Maven, Gradle, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, and Git.
• Cloud platforms: AWS and Azure.
• Containerization and orchestration: Docker and Kubernetes.
• Messaging and integration technologies: Kafka and MQ.
• Monitoring and observability tools: Datadog, Splunk, and Grafana.
• Unix/Linux administration and shell scripting.
• Experience with application performance monitoring and optimization.

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
