Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Application Support Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Python, Kafka, and application monitoring tools such as Splunk or Dynatrace. The candidate will be responsible for supporting production applications, troubleshooting issues, monitoring system health, and ensuring application stability.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide L2/L3 production support for enterprise applications.
• Monitor and troubleshoot applications built on Python and Kafka.
• Analyze application logs, alerts, and performance metrics using Splunk / Dynatrace.
• Troubleshoot Kafka topics, producers, consumers, connectivity, and message-processing issues.
• Perform incident management, problem management, and root-cause analysis.
• Identify recurring production issues and implement permanent fixes or automation.
• Support application deployments, releases, maintenance activities, and production changes.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, database, and business teams for issue resolution.
• Monitor application availability, performance, and stability and ensure SLA adherence.
• Prepare incident reports, RCA documents, and operational documentation.
• Participate in on-call/weekend support as required.

Candidate Profile

• 5–8 years of relevant experience in Application Support / Production Support.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python and Kafka.
• Practical experience using Splunk or Dynatrace for monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Comfortable working in a production support environment.
