Application Support Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Operate laboratory equipment such as weighing and measuring scales.
• Weigh and measure raw materials manually or from dispensing racks and/or dosing systems using calibrated weighing scales.
• Ensure the proper sequence of mixing raw materials as per standard procedures using appropriate compounding equipment for the specified duration.
• Complete assigned sample preparation and packaging orders within the stipulated time.
• Record, document, and report work results accurately.
• Inform the supervisor immediately of any equipment malfunction or operational issues.
• Pack samples carefully to prevent leakage, contamination, or spillage during storage and transportation.
• Use ERP software for data entry and submission of production and sample-related information.
• Maintain laboratory facilities by ensuring cleanliness, proper organization, and availability of raw materials with valid expiry dates.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment while complying with all safety regulations, SOPs, and guidelines for handling chemicals.
• Prioritize daily tasks to ensure same-day preparation and dispatch of customer samples whenever possible.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the management from time to time.

Preferred candidate profile

• Educational Qualification: B.Sc. (Chemistry Honours), B.Tech./B.E. in Chemical Engineering, or Diploma in Chemical Engineering.
• Freshers with relevant educational qualifications are encouraged to apply.
• Prior experience in fragrance, flavour, essential oils, perfume, cosmetics, FMCG, pharmaceutical, or chemical manufacturing is preferred.
• Good knowledge of chemical names, raw materials, and blending procedures.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow formulations accurately.
• Basic understanding of production safety and chemical handling practices.
• Physically fit and capable of working in a manufacturing environment.
• Responsible, disciplined, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Willingness to work in production shifts, if required.
