Application Support Engineer

Role & responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced L2 Production/Application Support Engineer with a strong background in the Banking and Credit Card domain. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting critical production applications, monitoring system performance, resolving incidents, and ensuring seamless operation of credit card and payment-related systems.

• Provide L2 Application/Production Support for banking and credit card applications.
• Monitor production systems and proactively identify potential issues.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve production incidents within defined SLAs.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures.
• Support batch processing, job scheduling, and application releases.
• Analyze application logs and database issues to ensure system stability.
• Hands-on experience with Linux/Unix environments.
• Strong SQL and database troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Grafana, Kibana, Elastic, Splunk, AppDynamics, or equivalent.
• Exposure to incident and problem management processes.
• Experience using ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence, or similar ticketing tools.
