As an Application Support Engineer, a typical day involves acting as a software detective by proactively monitoring and investigating issues across various critical business systems. This role requires a dynamic approach to identifying root causes and resolving problems efficiently to ensure smooth system operations. The position demands continuous engagement with multiple system components, collaborating with different teams to maintain service reliability and support business continuity.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
• Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
• Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze and troubleshoot complex system issues.
• Document findings and resolutions to build a knowledge base for future reference.
• Assist in the implementation of system updates and patches to enhance performance and security.
• Support junior team members by sharing knowledge and providing guidance when necessary.
  
  

Professional & Technical Skills:

• Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Oracle Database Administration (DBA).
• Experience in database performance tuning and optimization techniques.
• Strong understanding of backup and recovery procedures for database systems.
• Familiarity with database security management and user access controls.
• Ability to monitor database health and troubleshoot issues proactively.
• Knowledge of scripting languages to automate routine database tasks.
