As an Application Support Engineer, a typical day involves acting as a software detective by investigating and resolving issues across various components of essential business systems. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying problems, analyzing system behavior, and ensuring smooth operation of critical applications. The position demands continuous engagement with multiple system elements to maintain business continuity and support operational efficiency, often requiring collaboration with different teams to address complex challenges and deliver timely solutions.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
• Responsible for team decisions.
• Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
• Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
• Lead efforts to troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues to minimize downtime and impact on business operations.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective communication during incident resolution.
• Mentor junior team members by sharing knowledge and best practices to enhance team capabilities.
  
  

Professional & Technical Skills:

• Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in IBM System i (AS/400) RPG IV.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and debug complex software issues.
• Experience in managing and supporting critical business applications in a production environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and communicate technical information effectively.
• Familiarity with system monitoring tools and incident management processes.
