Summary:

As an Application Support Engineer, a typical day involves acting as a software detective by proactively monitoring and diagnosing issues across various critical business systems. This role requires a dynamic approach to identifying problems, analyzing system behaviors, and collaborating with different teams to ensure smooth and uninterrupted service delivery. The position demands vigilance and adaptability to swiftly address challenges that arise within complex software environments, contributing to the overall stability and performance of essential applications.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
• Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
• Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely resolution of system issues and minimize downtime.
• Document troubleshooting steps and solutions to build a knowledge base for future reference.
• Assist junior team members by sharing knowledge and providing guidance on best practices.
• Continuously monitor system performance and recommend improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency.
  
  

Professional & Technical Skills:

• Expert in Database Upgrades, Installation, Patching on both unix and windows.
• Experience in handling 19c databases/ Multi-Tenant DBs.
• Good in troubleshooting issues, Advanced backup, recovery using RMAN & expdp.
• Experience in OEM installation and maintenance.
• Database performance tuning.
• Good skills in all Oracle technology RAC/ DATAGUARD and active dataguard stream.
• Bash/ Shell- Scripting and proven experience of delivering large scale projects.

• The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Oracle Database Administration (DBA).
• This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
• A 15 years full time education is required.
