Role Description The Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) Engineer will design, develop, and optimize custom integrated circuits that support Miryalan’s products and initiatives across multiple domains. Day-to-day responsibilities include defining ASIC specifications, performing RTL and logic design, conducting verification and validation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure performance, power, and area targets are met. The role also involves working on physical design flows, timing closure, and integration with broader system architectures, as well as documenting design decisions and participating in design reviews. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai, requiring close coordination with hardware, software, and product teams.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Circuit Design and Logic Design for ASIC development and optimization.
- Candidates should possess solid expertise in RTL Design for implementing and verifying digital hardware functionality.
- Candidates should possess hands-on experience in Physical Design, including synthesis, place-and-route, and timing analysis.
- Candidates should possess a good understanding of Computer Architecture to align ASIC designs with system-level requirements.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with industry-standard EDA tools (e.g., Synopsys, Cadence, Mentor) and hardware description languages such as Verilog or VHDL.
- Knowledge of low-power design techniques, DFT concepts, and verification methodologies such as SystemVerilog or UVM is beneficial.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in an on-site, multidisciplinary team in Chennai.
