Application Project Manager and Design Engineer - ATS Exhaust System

Key Responsibilities

• Project leadership: Apply a proactive, front-loaded approach to manage scope, requirements, timing, budget, resources, risks, actions, changes, and APQP deliverables through PPAP and serial launch.
• Customer interface: Act as the primary contact for customer and partner project managers; lead reviews, document decisions, provide status updates, and escalate concerns early.
• Application engineering: Collect application data, size and select products, prepare technical proposals, and support Sales with feasibility, manufacturing-process, investment, and costing inputs.
• Exhaust and PTS design: Develop or review exhaust pipes, PTS components, and assemblies in SolidWorks, including routing, packaging, interfaces, brackets, joints, clamps, bellows, supports, thermal expansion, materials, weldments, and serviceability.
• Engineering release: Create and release 3D models, 2D drawings, specifications, and BOMs using GD&T, tolerance analysis, ERP/PLM, and engineering change-control processes.
• Manufacturability: Lead design-for-manufacture reviews for pipe bending, forming, canning, welding, assembly, tooling, gauges, jigs, fixtures, and process capability.
• Validation and problem solving: Plan and support structural, thermal, flow/backpressure, vibration, acoustic, performance, and durability testing or simulation; lead root-cause and corrective-action activities.
• Remote cross-functional coordination: Drive deliverables while working remotely from Dinex India with Dinex USA and global R&D, Application Engineering, Testing, Quality, NPI, Purchasing, suppliers, Production, Finance, and Sales teams across time zones.
• Project closure and improvement: Complete customer and supplier handovers, close open actions, capture lessons learned, and support design and project-management standardization.
