Application Engineering Manager

Key Responsibilities/ Accountabilities: AEM is technical mentor for the zone & closely works with AE, Customer, BM, ZM & PMG. Facilitate SOA to Gain & Brick wall profitable business in the zone: AEM works on regional TA (Target Account) to grow or defend market share by working with all SOAs. Deployment of success stories from another zone. Support SOA to improve margin in the specified product lines. Extending support for NPD & R & D products field testing & benchmarking. Understanding & giving inputs to plant team to resolve critical quality issues Team Development: Build technical competent team & improve required skills of the team. Training to GET/BDE/. Organize one paid training course in a year. Support regional team as well as customer for technical queries. Ensure team is following defined SOP for project progress tracking & other lead indicators. Owning up assigned Industry /Application & develop expertise & database. Build Customer Relationship to recognize GNO as preferred abrasive solution & value adding supplier Engage & build relationship with middle & senior management at customer. Promote & project AE team as Solution Provider in front of customers. Validate & submit CPC proposals to customers. Drive value added services for the zone. Nominate customer centric projects for the zone & utilize the SGRI competencies. Train customer technical team. Develop Networking with Internal SOA’s & customers: Networking Develop Close coordination & communication among AE/PMG/Sales/Customer Part of cross functional team for various SOA’s & SGRI for new product testing & providing technical data. Provide market intelligence of zone to decide product strategy proactively. Drive Initiatives & Innovative ideas regionally as well as nationally. Develop expertise in the assigned Industry & Application. Regional OEM support for technical as well as technology. Qualifications B.E/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile & Manufacturing 5 - 10 years of Application Engineering/Product Engineering/ Project Engineering. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
