Application Engineer

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Application Engineer role based in Chennai. The Application Engineer will work closely with internal teams and clients to implement, configure, and support security and infrastructure solutions across Laya Tech’s service portfolio. Day-to-day responsibilities include providing technical support for deployed applications, assisting in solution design and integration, performing functional and performance testing, and troubleshooting issues in collaboration with cross-functional teams. The role also involves documenting technical configurations, preparing deployment and support materials, and contributing to continuous improvement of application reliability and security. The Application Engineer will interact with clients to understand technical requirements, participate in implementation projects, and ensure that solutions are aligned with best practices and organizational standards.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Technical Support skills, including incident troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and client communication.
• Candidates should possess Software Development and Testing skills to build, customize, and validate application features and integrations.
• Candidates should possess strong technical knowledge in DLP/KUMA/SIEM/PAM/MDM & other for understanding hardware interfaces and system-level integration.
• Candidates should possess a solid understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, and application security concepts, especially in enterprise environments.
• Relevant academic background such as a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Ability to work on-site in Chennai, collaborate effectively within diverse teams, and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with system integration, cyber security tools, or infrastructure solutions is an advantage.
• Strong problem-solving mindset, attention to detail, and willingness to learn new technologies and frameworks.
