Job Summary

USAM CADSoft is looking for an Application Engineer – Autodesk Fusion to provide technical support, product demonstrations, implementation, and training to customers in the CNC machining, manufacturing, tooling, automotive, aerospace, and precision engineering sectors.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on knowledge of CAD/CAM, CNC machining, Fusion, PowerMill, FeatureCAM, G-code, post-processors, and manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and support Autodesk Fusion solutions for customers.
• Conduct product demonstrations, technical presentations, and customer training.
• Understand customer manufacturing requirements and recommend appropriate CAD/CAM solutions.
• Develop and implement CAM strategies for CNC Milling, Turning, Multi-Axis machining, and complex components.
• Configure and customize post-processors based on machine and customer requirements.
• Support customers in CNC programming, toolpath generation, simulation, and machining workflows.
• Troubleshoot technical issues related to CAM software, post-processors, CNC machines, and manufacturing processes.
• Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support.
• Work closely with the Sales team for technical presentations, solution demonstrations, and Proof of Concepts (PoC).
• Visit customer locations for implementation, training, technical support, and application studies.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and digital manufacturing solutions.
• Maintain customer feedback and technical support records.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of CAD/CAM and CNC machining.
• Hands-on experience with Autodesk Fusion, PowerMill, FeatureCAM, or similar CAM software.
• Knowledge of CNC Milling, Turning, and Multi-Axis machining.
• Understanding of G-code, M-code, tooling, machining parameters, and post-processors.
• Knowledge of EDM / precision manufacturing processes will be an added advantage.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing specifications.
• Knowledge of toolpath generation, simulation, and CNC programming.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
