Application Engineer - II

Position Summary Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable enterprise applications.
• Build and enhance backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop and support modern web applications using Angular.
• Design and consume RESTful APIs and web services.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Technical Leads, Architects, and Engineers to deliver business solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.
• Support cloud-native application development and deployment within AWS.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement sustainable solutions.
• Contribute to platform modernization, third-party integrations, and continuous improvements.
• Take ownership of assigned work items and proactively drive delivery.
• Operate effectively in an Agile environment using a pull-based work model.

Required Qualifications and Tech Skills

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in software development, system integration, database design, and back-end architecture.
• Bachelor's degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Computer Science, or a Master's degree/Diploma in Computer Science.
• Experience in software application development.
• Strong proficiency in either: Angular with working knowledge of Java, or Java (Core Java/Spring Boot) with working knowledge of Angular.
• Experience developing and consuming REST APIs and web services.
• Understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
• Experience with modern software development practices and Agile methodologies.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
• Basic understanding or exposure to AWS cloud technologies.
• Exposure to services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, or CloudFormation is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to AWS services and cloud-native applications.
• Exposure to Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).
• Experience within a product-based organization.
• Knowledge of Financial Services or Investment Management domains.
• Understanding of modern frontend development best practices.
