Appian Developer

Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Appian Developer to design, develop, configure, and maintain business applications using the Appian low-code platform. The successful candidate will work closely with business analysts, solution architects, QA teams, and stakeholders to deliver scalable, user-friendly, and secure enterprise solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop applications using the Appian platform.
• Build Appian interfaces, process models, records, reports, and decision rules.
• Develop reusable Appian components and follow platform best practices.
• Configure workflows, business rules, integrations, and data models.
• Integrate Appian applications with external systems using REST, SOAP, web APIs, and connected systems.
• Create and maintain Appian data stores, database queries, and data sync configurations.
• Collaborate with business analysts to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Participate in application design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Troubleshoot application issues and provide timely resolution.
• Perform unit testing, integration testing, and defect resolution.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards.
• Prepare technical documentation, deployment guides, and support documentation.
• Support continuous improvement of existing Appian applications.
• Follow security, performance, and governance standards throughout the development lifecycle.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with the Appian platform.
• Experience developing Appian process models, interfaces, records, reports, and expression rules.
• Strong knowledge of Appian SAIL and expression language.
• Experience with relational databases and SQL.
• Experience developing and consuming REST or SOAP web services.
• Understanding of software development life cycle methodologies.
• Experience with debugging, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Good knowledge of application security, performance optimization, and integration patterns.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
