About this role
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager - Quality Engineering to lead and manage quality assurance initiatives for large-scale, API-driven applications and distributed systems. The role involves driving testing strategy, managing cross-functional teams, ensuring delivery excellence, and championing quality across the software development lifecycle. You will collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, developers, DevOps teams, and QA engineers to deliver reliable, secure, and high-performing solutions.
Responsibilities - Lead end-to-end project delivery for Quality Engineering engagements involving API and integration testing.
- Define project plans, test strategies, milestones, risks, and governance processes.
- Manage QA teams, allocate resources, track deliverables, and ensure adherence to timelines and quality standards.
- Drive API testing and automation initiatives across microservices and distributed systems.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align project objectives, priorities, and release schedules.
- Monitor project health through metrics, dashboards, and regular status reporting.
- Identify risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks, and implement mitigation plans proactively.
- Ensure seamless integration of testing practices into CI/CD pipelines and Agile delivery models.
- Facilitate defect triage, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Mentor team members and promote quality engineering best practices across programs.
- 8+ years of experience in Software Testing, Quality Engineering, or Test Management, with project leadership responsibilities.
- Strong understanding of API Testing, Automation Testing, and Quality Assurance methodologies.
- Experience managing Agile/Scrum projects and coordinating cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of REST APIs, microservices architecture, and API testing tools.
- Experience with test automation frameworks and CI/CD integration.
- Strong stakeholder management, project planning, risk management, and reporting skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver projects within scope, schedule, and quality targets.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
