Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated API Testing Engineer with strong experience in validating RESTful and SOAP APIs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, functionality, performance, and security of APIs by performing comprehensive testing and backend validations. The role requires close collaboration with developers, architects, business analysts, and QA teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements, technical specifications, and API documentation.
• Design and execute API test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
• Validate REST and SOAP web services.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, system, and end-to-end testing.
• Validate request/response payloads, business rules, and data transformations.
• Verify API response codes, headers, authentication, and authorization mechanisms.
• Perform backend database validation to ensure data integrity.
• Identify, document, and track defects using defect management tools.
• Automate API test execution and integrate with CI/CD pipelines.
• Execute performance and load testing for APIs.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum activities and provide testing status reports.
• Collaborate with development and DevOps teams for release validation.
