API Engineer .Net Azure

About Position: We are seeking an experienced API Developer with strong expertise in C#, .NET Core/.NET 6+, Azure Cloud Services, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), and Azure Functions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and high-performance RESTful APIs and microservices for cloud-native applications. The role requires hands-on experience with Azure services, containerization, Kubernetes, and modern DevOps practices.

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable RESTful APIs and microservices using C# and .NET Core/.NET 6+.
• Develop reusable, secure, and highly performant backend services.
• Implement best practices for API versioning, documentation, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
• Develop and integrate solutions using Azure PaaS services including:
• Azure Functions
• Azure App Services
• Azure API Management (APIM)
• Azure Storage Accounts
• Implement serverless and event-driven architectures on Azure.
• Containerize applications using Docker.
• Deploy, manage, and optimize workloads on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Ensure application scalability, resilience, and high availability.
• Design and optimize data access for cloud-native solutions.
• Work with:
• Azure SQL Database
• Azure Cosmos DB
• Develop efficient data models and optimize query performance.
• Implement API security best practices.
• Configure authentication and authorization using:
• OAuth 2.0
• JWT Authentication
• Managed Identities
• Azure Active Directory (AAD)
• Ensure compliance with enterprise security standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance bottlenecks.
• Monitor APIs and cloud services using Azure monitoring tools.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Collaborate with architects, DevOps engineers, Product Owners, and QA teams.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and technical design discussions.
• Support CI/CD pipeline implementation and release management.

Expertise You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 7+ years of experience in backend/API development.
• Strong experience developing cloud-native applications on Microsoft Azure.
• Experience designing distributed systems and microservices-based architectures.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and DevOps practices.
