Job Title: API Automation Tester

Experience: 5-7 Years
Notice Period: Immediate Joiners Preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated API test scripts and frameworks.
• Validate RESTful APIs using tools such as Postman, Rest Assured, or similar automation frameworks.
• Create and execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end API test cases.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and collaborate with development teams for resolution.
• Integrate automated test suites with CI/CD pipelines.
• Review requirements, user stories, and technical specifications to ensure test coverage.
• Prepare test reports and provide quality metrics to stakeholders.

Required Skills

• 5-7 years of experience in Software Testing with strong expertise in API Automation.
• Hands-on experience with Rest Assured, Postman, Java, and TestNG/JUnit.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, HTTP methods, JSON, XML, and API validations.
• Experience in automation framework development and maintenance.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
• Good understanding of SQL and database testing.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to Microservices architecture.
• Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Basic UI automation experience using Selenium is an added advantage.
