API Automation Test Engineer

Job Description:

• We are looking for an experienced API Automation Testing Engineer with 5 to 8 years of experience in API testing automation framework development and quality assurance
• The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in REST SOAP API testing automation tools test frameworks CI CD pipelines and Agile methodologies

Key Responsibilities:

• Design develop and maintain API automation test frameworks
• Perform functional integration regression and end to end API testing
• Validate RESTful and SOAP web services using automation tools
• Create execute and maintain automated test scripts
• Analyze API specifications business requirements and technical documentation
• Integrate automated test suites with CI CD pipelines
• Identify track and report defects using defect management tools
• Perform database validation and backend testing
• Collaborate with developers business analysts and DevOps teams to ensure product quality
• Participate in Agile ceremonies sprint planning and test strategy discussions

Technical Requirements:

• Strong experience in API Automation Testing
• Hands on experience with Postman Rest Assured Karate Framework SoapUI or ReadyAPI
• Proficiency in Java or Python
• Experience testing REST and SOAP APIs
• Strong understanding of HTTP JSON XML OAuth JWT and API security concepts
• Experience with automation frameworks such as TestNG or JUnit
• Knowledge of CI CD tools like Jenkins GitHub Actions GitLab CI or Azure DevOps
• Experience with version control tools such as Git
• Knowledge of SQL and database testing
• Familiarity with Agile Scrum development methodologies

Additional Responsibilities:

• Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter
• Exposure to Docker Kubernetes and cloud platforms AWS Azure GCP
• Knowledge of microservices architecture
• Experience working in DevOps environments
• Exposure to BDD frameworks such as Cucumber
