API Automation-Rest assured

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute automated API test scripts using Rest Assured.
• Create and maintain scalable API automation frameworks using Java and testing frameworks such as TestNG or JUnit.
• Validate REST APIs, including request/response structures, authentication, status codes, and business logic.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end API testing.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and collaborate with development teams for timely resolution.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
• Work with tools like Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI, and API monitoring solutions.
• Prepare test reports and maintain test documentation.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to quality assurance best practices.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in API Automation Testing.
• Hands-on experience with Rest Assured framework.
• Proficiency in Java programming.
• Experience with TestNG/JUnit and Maven/Gradle.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, HTTP methods, JSON, XML, and API authentication mechanisms (OAuth, JWT, Basic Auth).
• Experience with version control tools such as Git.
• Knowledge of SQL and database validation.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
