API Automation-Rest Assured

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for API testing.
• Validate REST/SOAP APIs using tools such as Postman, Rest Assured, Karate, or similar frameworks.
• Create and maintain automation frameworks using Java/Python.
• Develop and execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end API test cases.
• Work closely with developers, business analysts, and QA teams to understand requirements and ensure quality deliverables.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, etc.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and collaborate with development teams for resolution.
• Ensure test coverage, maintain test documentation, and prepare status reports.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in API Automation Testing.
• Hands-on experience with Rest Assured, Postman, Karate Framework, or SoapUI.
• Proficiency in Java or Python.
• Good understanding of REST APIs, HTTP protocols, JSON, XML, and OAuth.
• Experience with TestNG/JUnit frameworks.
• Familiarity with Git, Jenkins, and CI/CD practices.
• Knowledge of SQL and database validation.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
