Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced AP-DRG Medical Coder specializing in Pediatrics with a strong understanding of medical coding guidelines, clinical documentation, and reimbursement methodologies. The ideal candidate should possess a recognized Medical Coding Certification and have hands-on experience in AP-DRG coding.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and analyze pediatric medical records for accurate code assignment.
• Assign appropriate ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and DRG codes as per coding

guidelines.

• Ensure compliance with AP-DRG coding standards and payer requirements.
• Maintain coding accuracy, productivity, and quality targets.
• Identify documentation gaps and work with internal teams for clarification.
• Stay updated on coding regulations and industry best practices.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in AP-DRG Medical Coding with a focus on Pediatrics.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, DRG, and reimbursement

methodologies.

• Experience reviewing and coding pediatric inpatient records.
• Excellent analytical and attention-to-detail skills.

Mandatory Certification

• CPC (Certified Professional Coder) / CCS (Certified Coding Specialist) / CIC

(Certified Inpatient Coder) or equivalent recognized Medical Coding Certification.

Preferred Skills

• Strong understanding of pediatric diagnoses and procedures.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to meet quality and productivity benchmarks.

Note: Medical Coding Certification is mandatory. Candidates must have relevant AP-DRG

Pediatric coding experience.
