About this role
We are looking for an experienced Annotation Team Lead to manage annotation operations and support the delivery of accurate, high-quality AI training data.
The role involves leading annotators, monitoring productivity and quality, providing coaching, and ensuring project deliverables are completed on time.
What Youll Do
- Manage annotation batches from launch through delivery.
- Convert project guidelines into clear instructions for the team.
- Lead annotators and Pod Leads and set daily productivity targets.
- Monitor quality, productivity, staffing, and project progress.
- Conduct coaching, retraining, and remediation when required.
- Work with QA and tooling teams to improve processes.
- Identify and develop high-performing team members.
- Report project risks, blockers, and progress to the Project Lead.
What Were Looking For
- 4-6 years of overall professional experience, including 2+ years in team leadership.
- Experience managing teams against productivity and quality targets.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to simplify complex guidelines into actionable instructions.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in annotation, data labeling, or AI training data projects is preferred.
Project Details
- Role: Annotation Team Lead
- Work Type: Project-based
- Duration: 16 weeks
- Schedule: 5 working days per week, including weekends as required
- Working Hours: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM PST
- Work Environment: Fast-paced with potentially tight turnaround requirements
