Android Engineer (Kotlin)

Job title: Android Engineer (Kotlin) Experience: 4+ Years Location: Mohali Contract: Short term We are looking for a talented Android Engineer to join our client's product team. This role is ideal for developers who are passionate about building elegant, high-quality mobile applications with a strong focus on design, security, scalability, and performance. As an Android Engineer, you will own the full application development lifecycle—from architecture and implementation to testing, deployment, and ongoing optimization. You'll collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional user experiences. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and maintenance of Android applications using Kotlin.
• Collaborate with designers and product managers to transform high-quality designs into polished mobile experiences.
• Implement secure coding practices and ensure compliance with data protection and security standards.
• Write and maintain comprehensive unit and integration tests.
• Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for efficient and reliable releases.
• Continuously improve application performance, responsiveness, stability, and reliability.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance to the engineering team.
• Participate in code reviews and promote engineering best practices. Required Qualifications
• 4+ years of experience in Android application development.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin.
• Deep understanding of the Android SDK, Android NDK, and Jetpack libraries.
• Experience developing and publishing high-quality Android applications to Google Play.
• Strong knowledge of secure coding principles and mobile application security.
• Experience with testing frameworks such as JUnit, Espresso, and Robolectric.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Bitrise, or similar platforms.
• Solid understanding of the Google Play release and distribution process.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently. Nice to Have
• Experience with Jetpack Compose.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards and internationalization best practices.
• Experience with analytics, crash reporting, and performance monitoring tools.
• Familiarity with modern Android architecture patterns (MVVM, Clean Architecture).
