Android developer

Role & Responsibilities

• Build and ship features in the Android app across ticketing, events, dining and payments
• Write clean, readable Kotlin/Java that your teammates can maintain and build on
• Translate designs and product requirements into smooth, responsive UI following Material Design
• Integrate REST APIs and handle data with Retrofit/OkHttp, JSON parsing and local storage (Room)
• Handle real-world scale and edge cases — loading states, errors, offline behaviour, and the high-traffic moments when a big event or ticket drop goes live
• Debug, profile and fix issues; keep the app fast, stable and crash-free
• Take part in code reviews, both giving and receiving feedback
• Work closely with product, design and backend to scope and deliver features end to end
• Chip away at tech debt and push for clean architecture and best practices
• Stay current with Android updates, tools and patterns, and bring good ideas back to the team
