About the Role We’re looking for a passionate Android Developer (2+ years) with strong Jetpack Compose experience to own the Android app end-to-end — from writing production-ready code to deploying releases on the Google Play Store.

Job Responsibilities

• Build modern, scalable Android UI using

Jetpack Compose and Kotlin.

• Design and maintain a Compose-first

MVVM architecture using ViewModel, StateFlow, and Coroutines.

• Own the entire Android lifecycle, from development to deployment:
• Feature development and refactoring
• Build generation, signing, and versioning
• Deploying and managing releases on the Google Play Store
• Monitoring crashes, ANRs, and post-release performance
• Configure and manage Gradle build variants and release pipelines.
• Integrate backend services using REST / GraphQL APIs.
• Implement Android system-level features, including:
• Foreground services
• Accessibility services
• Display over other apps
• Usage Stats Manager / Screen Time APIs
• Optimise performance, memory usage, recomposition, and battery efficiency.
• Handle Android permissions, background execution limits, and OS-level restrictions.
• Collaborate with iOS and backend teams to maintain feature parity and architectural consistency.
• Write clean, testable code and maintain technical documentation.

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional Android development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Solid understanding of modern Android architecture:
• MVVM
• View Model
• State Flow / Flow
• Room
• Compose Navigation
• Proven experience taking Android apps from code to Play Store production.
• Experience with Gradle, build flavours, and release management.
• Strong debugging, performance optimisation, and problem-solving skills.

Bonus Points

• Experience with Digital Wellbeing, Screen Time, or parental control apps.
• Familiarity with Work Manager, Alarm Manager, and battery optimisation.
• Experience with subscription-based apps and in-app purchases.
• Experience integrating analytics and crash reporting tools.
• Hands-on experience with foreground services, accessibility services, and overlay permissions.
