Android Developer - SDE 2

Responsibilities:

• Own complex Android features from technical design to production and iteration.
• Make architecture decisions around modularity, scalability, performance, and offline handling.
• Build high-quality native Android experiences using Kotlin and the Android SDK.
• Work with MVVM/MVI, Jetpack, Coroutines and Flow.
• Build resilient networking and caching using Retrofit/OkHttp.
• Work with Hilt/Dagger, Room and WorkManager.
• Improve app health, crash-free rate, ANRs, startup time, memory, battery and jank.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Design and Backend teams.
• Drive engineering best practices, code reviews, testing and release hygiene.
• Mentor SDE 1 engineers and help raise the technical bar.

Requirements:

• 4-6 years of hands-on experience building native Android applications.
• Strong Kotlin + Android SDK fundamentals.
• Strong understanding of modern Android architecture.
• Experience independently owning and shipping features.
• Good understanding of performance, debugging and production issues.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ambiguous startup environment.
• Experience with code reviews and mentoring.
• Experience with Jetpack Compose and consumer-facing apps at scale.
