Android Audio Framework Engineer - Embedded C++

We are looking for an Android Audio Framework Engineer with strong hands-on experience in C++, the Android Audio Framework, and AOSP.

Requirements:

• Experience: 5-9 years.
• Skill Set: Android Audio, Embedded C++, Audio HAL.

Mandatory Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience in the Android Audio Framework using C++.
• Hands-on experience with Android Audio Framework / AOSP Audio.
• Hands-on experience working with AOSP source code.
• Experience with key Android Audio components such as AudioFlinger, AudioPolicy / AudioPolicyManager, AudioService / AudioManager, AudioFocus and Audio Routing, AudioTrack / AudioRecord, and Audio HAL.
• Strong understanding of C++, OOP, multithreading, synchronization, IPC/binder, and AIDL.
• Good knowledge of Linux and command-line debugging.
• Hands-on experience with ADB, Logcat, Dumpsys, Bugreport, GDB, and Android traces.
• Experience with Git/Gerrit.
• Ability to debug issues across Android Framework, Native Audio Framework, and Audio HAL.

Good to Have:

• Good working knowledge of Java.
• Understanding of the Android Framework and system architecture.
• Experience with Android Automotive / IVI.
• Knowledge of ALSA / TinyALSA.
• Experience with HIDL/AIDL-based HAL.
