About The Team
At Zillow Group, we are constantly innovating ways to operate, monetize, and improve our nationwide real estate marketplace. The Data Science, Analytics and Engineering team supports several lines of business across the company by partnering closely with business leaders and engineering to model, analyze, and surface business relevant metrics that inform both short- and long-term decision-making. Our structure is very flat and you will soon find yourself interacting directly across a wide variety of roles.
Zillow Group is a strategic, mission-driven organization focused on delivering exceptional experiences and measurable outcomes. Our work spans cross-functional partnership, scalable programs and operational excellence in support of Zillow's mission. We bring deep experience working across diverse teams in a dynamic, high-growth environment, balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution to drive meaningful business impact. We are seeking an experienced professional to support our workforce expansion in India.
About The Role
As an Analytics Engineer, you'll build and own the data models and metric definitions that stakeholders across Zillow depend on for consumer analytics, including marketing, lead generation, and site traffic. You'll work with your team and your stakeholders within business domains to create and manage the metrics that drive day-to-day operations and strategic priorities. You'll write transformation code, implement performant metrics as trusted data products, build data-quality tests, and document your work so people and increasingly, AI systems can trust and build on top of the foundation you lay.
You Will Get To
Who you are

Whether you're working in tech, sales, operations, or design, you'll be part of a company reshaping an industry and helping more people make home a reality.
Zillow is honored to be recognized among the best workplaces in the U.S. Zillow was named one of FORTUNE 100 Best Companies to Work For® in 2026, and included on TIME's America's Best Companies 2026 list, reflecting our commitment to creating an innovative, inclusive, and engaging culture where employees are empowered to grow.
No matter where you sit in the organization, your work will help drive innovation, support our customers, and move the industry—and your career—forward, together.
Zillow Group is committed to fostering an inclusive, innovative environment and to providing equal employment opportunities. We comply with applicable laws that prohibit discrimination in employment and recruitment.

You Will Get To
- Build and maintain dimensional data models and metric definitions using SQL and dbt (or equivalent)
- Design data-quality tests, monitoring, and alerting so your data products are trusted by default
- Partner with data engineering to define upstream requirements and fix data-quality issues at the source
- Work directly with US-based BI analysts, data scientists, and stakeholders to understand what they actually need, not just what they wrote down
- Contribute to semantic layer definitions that make metrics usable by BI tools, data scientists, and AI systems alike
Who you are
- 2+ years of professional data experience, with metrics-as-code and semantic modelling preferred
- Strong SQL, with understanding of how grain, joins, and schema evolution affect relational modeling and metric implementation
- Experience with dbt or an equivalent transformation framework, plus Git and CI/CD basics
- Comfort operating across a large time-zone gap; proactive asynchronous communication
- A track record of evolving how AI systems, conversational analytics tools, and machine learning workflows consume structured data
- Familiarity with cloud data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, or similar) and BI tools (Tableau, Looker, or similar)
- Zillow values the experience and perspective of candidates with non-traditional backgrounds — we encourage you to apply if you have transferable skills

About
Zillow, Inc. is a leading home and real estate marketplace dedicated to helping homeowners, buyers, sellers, renters, real estate agents, mortgage professionals, landlords, and property managers find and share vital information about homes, real estate, mortgages, and home improvement. Under the Zillow brand, Zillow operates Zillow.com, Zillow Mortgage Marketplace, Zillow Mobile, Zillow Rentals, and Zillow Digs. Rich Barton and Lloyd Frink started Zillow in early 2005, and Zillow.com launched in early 2006 with data and information on millions of U.S. homes. Zillow's goal is to help people make intelligent decisions about their homes -- whether it's buying a home, selling, renting, leasing, remodeling or financing. It's all about empowering people with information and tools to make smart decisions about homes, real estate, and mortgages. Zillow is one of the most-visited U.S. real estate brands. Zillow Mobile boasts the most popular suite of real estate apps, with nearly 480 million homes viewed in May 2014. In addition to information and data on nearly all homes in the U.S. (110 million and counting), Zillow visitors can search homes for sale, homes for rent, and homes not currently on the market. Homeowners can browse remodeling ideas in Dueling Digs, or dig into the latest real estate trends in their neighborhood via Zillow's expansive local data pages. Zillow is a media business model and makes money selling targeted, relevant advertising to real estate professionals, and connecting home and mortgage shoppers with professionals who can help them. Zillow began trading on the NASDAQ Stock Market on July 20, 2011.
