Analytics Engineer / Data Engineer – MicroStrategy to Tableau Migration (4+ Months Contract)

For a large-scale Analytics Transformation initiative (German Region), we are currently looking for experienced Analytics Engineers and Data Engineers to support the migration from MicroStrategy to Tableau while modernizing the underlying analytics and data architecture. Project Context Our client is transforming its analytics landscape by migrating existing reporting and dashboard solutions from MicroStrategy to Tableau. In parallel, the organization is establishing scalable analytics engineering practices, reusable data models, and improved data pipelines to support future business growth. The project sits at the intersection of Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, and Business Intelligence. Your Responsibilities Analytics Migration • Analyze existing MicroStrategy reports, dashboards, and metrics • Design and implement equivalent Tableau solutions • Translate legacy business logic into reusable analytical models • Validate data parity between MicroStrategy and Tableau • Optimize Tableau dashboards for performance and usability Analytics Engineering • Design reusable analytical data models • Move business logic into maintainable SQL models • Build reusable semantic datasets and layers • Standardize KPIs and business rules across reporting domains Data Engineering • Develop SQL transformations and data pipelines • Build or modify Apache Airflow workflows • Ensure end-to-end data quality and consistency • Troubleshoot issues across the analytics stack • Improve pipeline reliability, monitoring, and observability Your Profile • Experience as an Analytics Engineer, Data Engineer, BI Engineer, or Tableau Developer • Strong SQL and data modeling expertise • Hands-on experience with Tableau • Experience building or maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines • Familiarity with Apache Airflow is highly desirable • Understanding of KPI design, semantic layers, and business logic modelling • Ability to collaborate with both business stakeholders and technical teams Nice to have • Previous experience with MicroStrategy migrations • Experience in enterprise reporting or analytics transformation projects Project Details Role: Analytics Engineer / Data Engineer – Tableau Migration Start: ASAP Duration: 4 MM+ Location: 100% Remote Workload: Full-time preferred TimeZone: Germany Are you interested?
