Role & responsibilities

Structural Characterization & Elucidation

• Perform comprehensive structural characterization of pharmaceutical compounds, impurities, degradation products, and Intermediates.
• Interpret spectroscopic and spectrometric data to confirm molecular structures.
• Support impurity identification, root-cause investigations, and characterization studies for development projects.
• Collaborate with synthetic chemistry and process development teams to resolve complex structural challenges.

Spectroscopic Analysis

Hands-on operation, troubleshooting, and data interpretation of:

• Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR)
• 1H NMR
• 13C NMR
• 19F NMR
• DEPT
• COSY
• HSQC
• HMBC
• NOESY/ROESY
• Quantitative NMR (qNMR)
• FT-IR Spectroscopy
• Raman Spectroscopy
• UV-Visible Spectroscopy
• Fluorescence Spectroscopy (preferred)
• Circular Dichroism (CD) Spectroscopy (preferred)

Technical Support

• Characterize unknown impurities, reaction by-products, and degradation products.
• Establish structural confirmation using orthogonal analytical techniques.
• Support reference standard qualification and impurity profiling studies.
• Review and interpret analytical data generated by cross-functional teams.
• Provide scientific recommendations and technical guidance to project teams and clients.
