About this role
Our Credit Analytics Group is a focused, analytics-driven credit capability that partners with large global institutional investors, including bulge bracket investment banks, leading private equity firms, hedge funds, and other lenders. Anchored in rigorous insights and valuations, we work across the full spectrum of the deal lifecycle, from pre-deal analysis through valuations to post-deal analytics. We focus on two core mandates: a) Valuations of clients investment positions, and b) Modelling and Portfolio Analytics. Our work streams can span any part of a deal/transaction lifecycle, from origination through valuations and reporting, across diverse private credit + asset classes and investment structures like Asset Based Finance, Whole Loan Portfolios, Securitised Products, Corporate Credit, Significant Risk Transfer, Commercial Real Estate etc.
Responsibilities
What youll champion:
Work closely with clients across the full lifecycle of an investment transaction, from pre deal to post-deal analytics, across multiple credit and alternative asset classes loan portfolios, securitisations and other structured credit products, specialty financing and real estate. The role would involve working on one or more of the following:
- Research and implement methodologies for credit risk analysis, valuation, performance benchmarking and portfolio analytics for example, assessing credit quality, tracking delinquencies and covenants, running stress tests, scenario analysis, or benchmarking against market indicators
- Extract relevant data from information memoranda, loan tapes, rent rolls, rating agency reports, or credit agreements as required
- Create credible, flexible, transparent financial models using extracted data and derived methodologies for valuations and other analytics projects
- Present the valuation and analytics outputs (either on Excel or set-up on Oxanes valuation platform) to clients, investors and auditors on calls
- Work as an extended team of clients on portfolio underwriting and monitoring which includes creating financial models from scratch and supporting clients reporting requirements. Assist in the preparation of investment summaries and credit memos as required by the client
- Contribute to product development initiatives across Oxanes credit analytics product suite
Requirements
- High level of proficiency in financial modelling using MS Excel; the ability to write VBA/Python code is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and a logical, structured thought process to analyse both qualitative and quantitative data
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while consistently meeting client deadlines
- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple assignments to deliver high-quality work on schedule
