Analyst - Underwriting

Role Overview

Support underwriters in assessing risks, analyzing insurance exposure and loss data, identifying discrepancies, and providing insights that support underwriting and pricing decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze insurance exposure and loss data across various lines of business.
• Assess and classify risks based on factors such as territory, vehicle type, weight, and operational radius.
• Identify and escalate data discrepancies for resolution.
• Prepare concise summaries of findings, assumptions, and key risk drivers.
• Support risk assessment through data analysis and research.
• Ensure compliance with client, regulatory, and organizational requirements.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and stakeholders.

Required Skills

• Basic understanding of insurance concepts, products, underwriting, and premium calculations.
• Strong analytical, logical reasoning, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office tools.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
• Prior insurance industry exposure or domain knowledge is preferred.
