Analyst, Tax Compliance

Working Title: Analyst, Tax Compliance

Shift Timing: 4:30 PM - 1:30 AM

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Ensure that the company is in compliance with state and local Sales/Use & Property Tax regulations
• Involvement in entire sales/use tax compliance function including preparing various states return filings, account reconciliations, and tax analyses
• Serve as compliance contact for inquiries from internal and external customers.
• Assist with completion of various states refund claims
• Work with the field and other departments to increase understanding of the sales and use tax process and assist as needed with sales and use tax issues
• Assist with property tax compliance functions
• Review contracts and proposals as needed to ensure compliance with sales and use tax laws
• Maintain and update Vertex, SAP, and Taxware as necessary
• Participate and lead various projects within the department and organization
• Implement tax savings and planning initiatives
• Assist in tax assessment analysis and correspondence

Minimum Education/Experience Required:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting preferred
• Minimum of 2 years sales tax experience - knowledge of multi-state sales/use tax laws preferred
• Vertex/SAP/Taxware experience preferred
