This job involves contributing to the procurement process through collaboration and engagement with team members. Responsibilities include supporting vendor onboarding, maintaining accurate records, and suggesting efficiencies within defined processes. The position emphasizes exercising judgment while ensuring compliance with procurement policies and financial controls, ultimately enhancing procurement operations and fostering positive supplier relationships.
You will be responsible for processing day-to-day operations of procurement operations activities as they relate to the buying process at PayPal with particular focus on SAP Ariba Contract Compliance. You should also be familiar with identifying and implementing process improvement initiatives within the Procurement Operations space.
Essential Responsibilities
- Facilitate the onboarding process for new vendors, ensuring compliance with procurement policies and third-party risk management protocols.
- Create, review, and process purchase orders for goods and services, ensuring accuracy and adherence to financial controls.
- Track and monitor procurement activities to ensure timely delivery of goods and services, and resolve any issues that arise.
- Reconcile supplier invoices with purchase orders and delivery receipts, ensuring accurate and timely payment.
- Maintain positive relationships with suppliers, addressing any concerns or issues promptly to foster long-term partnerships.
- Implement cost control measures to manage organizational spend effectively and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, financial controls, and regulatory requirements.
- Analyze procurement data to identify trends, generate reports, and provide insights for process improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize P2P processes, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness.
- Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information related to procurement activities.
Minimum Qualifications
- 1+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Additional Responsibilities Preferred Qualifications
- You must be adaptable with the ability work under pressure, change gears frequently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- You must be self-motivated team player with a collaborative approach, working as part of a diverse, global team.
- SAP Ariba knowledge preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Minimum 2-3 years of work experience with Ariba modules
- Basic understanding of procurement and contacting processes
- Prior experience identifying and implementing process improvement ideas
- Background in the field of procure to pay, purchasing, contracts and/or compliance
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- 6+ years of experience, with 4+ years in procurement / procurement operations
