Analyst - Legal Finance

Role & responsibilities

• Manage legal vendors, including onboarding, system setup, and ongoing liaison to ensure adherence to company policies and billing guidelines.
• Handle end to end legal invoice processing and matter management through CSC.
• Prepare monthly legal forecasts and perform detailed variance analysis against actual spending.
• Develop and distribute monthly legal spend reports for stakeholders and leadership review.
• Create ad hoc and customized reports to support Legal and Finance business requirements.
• Manage legal accruals to ensure timely, accurate accounting and financial close activities.
• Prepare and maintain legal hold reports in coordination with Legal teams to support compliance and litigation readiness.
• Support workflow management to ensure timely approvals, reporting accuracy, and process adherence.
• Provide ad hoc assistance related to legal and financial documentation, audits, and internal requests.
• Review Internal controls and Processes and look for continuous improvement.

Preferred candidate profile

• CA Inter with 3 - 6 years of experience in FP&A, Strong Analytical skills
• Experience in Invoice Processing, Invoice Workflow Management, Financial Planning & Analysis, Month close accrual process etc.,
• Experience /Domain Knowledge of Legal operations, Legal Spend Management, Interpretation of Legal Contracts etc.,
• Experience in processing journal entries
• Extensive knowledge of MS Excel
• Working knowledge in SAP and Hyperion
• Experience in working with analytical tools like Qlik, Power BI
• Experience in Handling US counterparts is an added advantage
