Position Title: AMS Financial Services Tech Mgd Svcs SMR
We are seeking an experienced Solutions/Delivery Subject Matter Representative (SMR) to drive the growth and delivery excellence of our Financial Services Managed Services practice, with a primary focus on the Insurance sector and secondary coverage across Banking and Wealth Asset Management. The role requires a unique combination of deep Managed Services delivery experience, AMS solutioning expertise, and Financial Services domain knowledge. The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping, estimating, costing, and designing Application Management Services (AMS) solutions while acting as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders and clients. The individual will play a critical role in supporting sales pursuits, responding to RFPs, conducting client workshops, participating in proposal defenses, and driving successful transition and delivery strategies for managed services engagements. The role will also serve as a competency leader, helping build service offerings, develop delivery talent, and scale Financial Services Managed Services capabilities.
Your Key Responsibilities
Solutioning Pre-Sales
- Lead the design, estimation, costing, and staffing of Application Management Services AMS and Managed Services engagements across Financial Services clients.
- Build scalable support, maintenance, enhancement, and operate models aligned to client requirements and commercial constructs.
- Develop solution approaches across Fixed Price, Outcome-Based, Managed Capacity, Unit-Based, and Time Material commercial models.
- Prepare winning proposals, RFP responses, Statements of Work SOWs, solution presentations, and participate in client orals.
- Drive solution workshops with client stakeholders to define scope, service levels, operating models, governance structures, and transition strategies.
- Position EY assets, accelerators, automation solutions, and managed services frameworks to improve competitiveness and value realization.
Managed Services Delivery Leadership
- Bring practical AMS delivery experience by leveraging prior leadership of application support teams consisting of 30+ team members across multiple locations.
- Define target operating models, transition plans, governance frameworks, service management processes, and support structures.
- Ensure proposed solutions are operationally viable, scalable, cost-effective, and aligned with delivery best practices.
- Provide SME guidance on incident, problem, change, release, service request, and knowledge management processes aligned with ITIL principles.
- Support transition, stabilization, and continuous improvement activities for managed services engagements.
- Drive automation opportunities and industrialization initiatives to improve service quality, predictability, and operational efficiency.
Financial Services Domain Leadership
- Act as a competency SME for Insurance, Banking, and Wealth Asset Management managed services opportunities.
- Apply industry knowledge to create differentiated managed services offerings tailored to Financial Services clients.
- Demonstrate understanding of key insurance processes including Policy Administration, Claims, Billing, Underwriting, Distribution, Customer Service, and Agency Management.
- Understand banking and wealth management technology landscapes and operating models to support cross-sector opportunities.
- Identify emerging market trends and develop service propositions aligned with client transformation priorities.
Practice and Capability Development
- Support the development and enhancement of Financial Services Managed Services offerings and go-to-market assets.
- Collaborate with delivery leaders, account teams, alliances, and competency leads to expand Managed Services opportunities.
- Mentor consultants and managers in solutioning, managed services delivery, and financial services domain capabilities.
- Contribute to competency building, knowledge management, and reusable solution frameworks.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, productivity, automation, and client satisfaction.
Skills and attributes for success
- Strong expertise in designing and solutioning AMS and Managed Services engagements.
- Ability to combine deep delivery experience with commercial and operational solution design.
- Strong understanding of application support delivery models, service management frameworks, and operating structures.
- Experience managing stakeholder expectations across executive, business, technology, and delivery leadership teams.
