AMS 360 Insurance Accounting Specialist

We are looking for an AMS 360 Insurance Accounting Specialist with 14 years of hands-on experience in AMS 360 and US insurance accounting.

The ideal candidate should have practical experience in commission accounting, Direct Bill commissions, bank reconciliation, insurance invoicing, billing, three-way reconciliation, General Ledger (GL), and Sub-Ledger accounting.

The role involves tracing insurance transactions from policy and billing activities through sub-ledger/GL accounting and payment reconciliation, while ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day insurance accounting activities in AMS 360.
• Maintain accurate customer, policy, billing, transaction, and accounting records.
• Review AMS 360 transaction postings and investigate discrepancies.
• Perform General Ledger (GL) and Sub-Ledger reconciliations.
• Review GL coding and identify missing, duplicate, incorrect, or misclassified entries.
• Process and reconcile agency and producer commissions.
• Reconcile Direct Bill commission statements with AMS 360 records.
• Compare expected vs. received commissions and investigate variances.
• Perform bank reconciliations, including deposits, receipts, withdrawals, and unidentified transactions.
• Prepare and process insurance invoices and billing transactions.
• Verify premiums, fees, taxes, commissions, and other applicable charges.
• Perform three-way reconciliation/matching between policy transactions, billing/invoices, and payments/bank or carrier transactions.
• Support month-end close and reconciliation activities.
• Prepare reconciliation reports, maintain exception logs, and document resolution of variances.

Required Skills & Experience

• Experience in US Property & Casualty (P&C) / Commercial Insurance.
• Strong understanding of insurance accounting and transaction flows.
• Working knowledge of General Ledger (GL) and Sub-Ledger accounting.
• Hands-on experience in GL-to-Sub-Ledger reconciliation.
• Experience with commission accounting and Direct Bill commissions.
• Good understanding of bank reconciliation, invoicing, billing, and payment reconciliation.
• Knowledge of three-way reconciliation / three-way matching.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good attention to detail and ability to identify accounting discrepancies.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
