    About this role

Amazon Ads Account Manager Global E-commerce (Mumbai )

Package: Negotiable + All Corporate Facilities

REPORTING TO: Head – Global E-commerce

    Role Overview

We are looking for a highly hands-on, performance-driven Amazon Ads Account Manager to manage and grow Amazon advertising across multiple international markets. The role will have direct ownership of Amazon Ads for selected markets and will work closely with an external agency for other markets, ensuring that the agency is delivering against agreed business objectives. The ideal candidate should be an Amazon Ads expert who is comfortable working directly inside Amazon Advertising Console, analysing campaign-level data, optimizing bids and budgets, identifying search-term opportunities, restructuring campaigns and continuously finding ways to improve ROAS/TROAS and sales. This is not an agency-management-only role. The candidate should be capable of independently managing the complete Amazon Ads ecosystem and getting into the details of campaigns, keywords, ASINs, search terms, placements, bids and budgets.

    Key Responsibilities

    1. End-to-End Amazon Ads Management: Own end-to-end Amazon Ads performance for assigned international markets. Plan, build, launch, manage and optimize campaigns across Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Brands Video, Sponsored Display, and other relevant solutions. Develop campaign structures aligned to Brand, Generic/category, Competitor, Product/ASIN targeting, Discovery, Conversion, and New product launches. Ensure campaigns have the right targeting, budgets, bids and optimization strategy. Continuously improve campaign architecture to maximize sales while maintaining target efficiency. (Supports keyword, product and negative targeting for granular control).

    2. Drive Sales & Achieve Target TROAS: Own Amazon advertising revenue and profitability targets for assigned markets. Deliver agreed TROAS / ROAS targets while maximizing incremental sales. Balance Revenue growth, Advertising spend, ROAS/TROAS, TACOS, Organic sales growth, and Market share. Identify opportunities to increase spend where incremental returns justify additional investment. Reduce or reallocate spend where marginal returns deteriorate. Build a clear understanding of how much additional revenue can be generated from every incremental advertising dollar.

    3. Advanced Campaign Optimization: Extremely hands-on with: (a) Keyword Optimization: Search-term analysis, harvesting from Auto/Broad/Phrase into Exact, negative management, brand vs. generic, long-tail, competitor targeting, search-volume & CVR analysis; (b) Product/ASIN Targeting: Competitor/category/complementary/own-ASIN targeting & conversion optimization; (c) Bid Optimization: Keyword/ASIN/placement-level bids, dynamic bidding strategies (dynamic/fixed/rule-based), and CVR/CPC/ROAS-driven adjustments; (d) Placement Optimization: Top of Search, Rest of Search & Product Page multipliers and ROAS/CVR analysis; (e) Budget Optimization: Daily utilization monitoring, reallocation to high-return campaigns, and spend pacing during normal periods & major Amazon events.

    4. Amazon Growth Strategy: Develop annual/quarterly growth strategies to expand revenue, market share, category ranking, brand visibility, new-to-brand customers, and new product launches. Build event strategies for Prime Day, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, Christmas, and category events. Develop launch strategies for new products and use advertising to accelerate organic ranking and sales momentum.

    5. Agency Management (Selected Markets): For agency-managed markets: Own overall performance relationship; Set monthly sales, spend & TROAS targets; Review campaign performance daily/weekly; Challenge agency recommendations with data; Ensure active optimization (reviewing structures, search-term harvesting, bid/budget changes, placement strategy, negative/competitor targeting); Conduct performance reviews, push for corrective action, benchmark against internal markets, and replicate winning strategies. Must independently validate agency execution in-account.

    6. Analytics & Performance Reporting: Build and maintain robust performance dashboards covering: Sales, Spend, ROAS/TROAS, ACOS, TACOS, Impressions, CTR, CPC, CVR, Orders, New-to-brand sales, Search-term, Keyword, ASIN, Placement, Campaign performance, Budget utilization, and Organic vs. paid sales. Leverage Amazon's multi-level reporting for data-driven decisions.

    7. Data Analysis & Business Insights: Analyze performance at SKU keyword campaign market level to uncover root causes behind performance changes. Diagnose sudden shifts in CPC, CTR, CVR, ROAS, Sales, and Organic ranking. Conduct WoW/MoM/YoY analysis, identify marginal ROAS/growth opportunities, and build sales & spend forecasts.

    8. Budget & Investment Management: Own monthly budgets and weekly spend pacing. Reallocate funds based on performance. Develop scenario models (Base case, Growth case, Aggressive investment case). Recommend additional investment for incremental sales opportunities and flag risks requiring disproportionate spend.

    9. Cross-Functional Coordination: Work closely with Global E-commerce Head, Marketplace Managers, agencies, Commercial, Supply Chain, Finance, Creative, and Product teams. Align ad strategy with stock availability, pricing, promotions, deals, new launches, reviews, and content quality. (Ensure active stock for Sponsored Products).

    Candidate Profile

    • Experience: 3–7 years of hands-on Amazon Ads experience managing international markets (US, UK, EU, GCC, etc.) and meaningful ad budgets. Category experience in FMCG, Beauty, Fragrance, Consumer Electronics, or Fashion preferred. Experience managing both directly managed and agency-managed accounts is strongly preferred.

    • Most Importantly: An Amazon Ads practitioner, not an account coordinator. Must personally open Amazon Ads Console, analyze data, diagnose problems, execute changes, and measure outcomes.
