AM or Deputy Manager - Maintenance

Role & responsibilities

Maintenance Strategy & Planning

• Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs
• Plan shutdown maintenance and minimize production downtime
• Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, spares, and resources
• Implement Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen initiatives
• Improve MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) and MTTR (Mean Time to Repair)

2. Equipment Reliability

• Analyze breakdowns using root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
• Drive TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) initiatives.
• Maintain and troubleshoot mechanical & hydraulic presses, feeders, decoilers, straighteners, and die systems.
• Oversee maintenance of utilities (compressors, DG sets, HVAC, etc.)

3. Cost Control & Budgeting

• Prepare and manage maintenance budgets
• Optimize inventory of spare parts and consumables
• Reduce maintenance cost through continuous improvement

4. Safety & Compliance

• Ensure adherence to safety standards and statutory regulations
• Implement safe maintenance practices and audits
• Maintain documentation for audits (ISO/TS, IATF-16949,VSA etc.)

Preferred candidate profile

Strong knowledge SAP

Strong knowledge of Paint Shop, Press shop hydraulics, and pneumatics machine

Problem-solving and analytical thinking

Strong communication and decision-making skills
