    Assistant Manager FR&C

    Role Overview
    We are seeking a finance professional to join our Finance team as an Assistant Manager Financial Reporting & Compliance. This role is ideal for candidates with 12 years of experience who are keen to build a strong foundation in accounting, compliance, reporting, and financial controls through handson operational exposure.
    The role will work closely with senior finance members and support daytoday finance operations, reconciliations, audits, and statutory compliance activities.
    Key Responsibilities
    Accounting & Financial Reporting
  1. Assist in preparation of monthly financial statements and schedules.
  2. Support monthend close activities including postings for accruals, payroll, prepaid expenses, and fixed assets.
  3. Prepare basic variance analysis and supporting workings.
    Reconciliations & Controls
  4. Perform general ledger reconciliations and follow up on reconciling items.
  5. Prepare bank reconciliations and ensure timely clearance of differences.
  6. Support intercompany accounting, accounting entries, and reconciliation tracking.
  7. Ensure compliance with internal control documentation and standard operating procedures.
    Compliance, Audit & Tax Support
  8. Assist in statutory audit and internal audit by preparing data, schedules, and responses to audit queries.
  9. Support tax compliance activities including documentation.
  10. Maintain statutory compliance trackers and filings calendar.
    Systems & Process Support
  11. Update and maintain financial data in SAP or other ERP systems.
  12. Assist in identifying process gaps, errors, and improvement opportunities.
  13. Support implementation of standardized templates and reporting formats.
    Stakeholder Coordination
  14. Coordinate with internal finance teams, auditors, consultants, and shared service teams.
  15. Escalate discrepancies, delays, or risks with proper documentation.
    Desired Skills & Competencies
  16. Foundational understanding of accounting principles and financial controls.
  17. Basic exposure to financial reporting, audits, and compliance requirements.
  18. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (lookups, pivots, basic reconciliations).
  19. Exposure to SAP or similar ERP systems preferred.
  20. Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
  21. Good communication and coordination skills.
  22. Ability to manage routine finance tasks in a structured environment.
    Experience & Qualification
  23. 12 years of relevant finance/accounting experience.
  24. Qualified / Semiqualified CA, or M.Com / CWA (CMA).
  25. Experience in corporate finance, shared services, audit firms, or consulting preferred.
