AM - Business Analyst

About the role:

The Assistant Manager Business Analyst, APAC will be responsible for providing data-driven business insights and analytical support for the APAC region. The role will work closely with the Business Head and cross-functional stakeholders to track business performance, identify trends and opportunities, support strategic decision-making, and drive business process improvements.

The role requires strong analytical ability, business understanding and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to convert complex data into meaningful insights and actionable recommendations.

Role & responsibilities

1. Business & Performance Analysis

• Analyse sales, revenue, profitability, product and market performance across APAC.
• Track business performance against budgets, targets and KPIs, identifying trends, gaps and growth opportunities.
• Develop dashboards, MIS reports and performance trackers to support management decision-making.

2. Management Reporting & Business Intelligence

• Consolidate and validate business data across APAC markets.
• Prepare periodic performance reports, business reviews and management presentations.
• Conduct variance, trend and comparative analysis to provide actionable insights.

3. Market & Competitor Analysis

• Analyse market trends, competitor activities, pricing and product offerings across APAC.
• Identify growth opportunities, emerging risks and potential markets or channels for expansion.

4. Business Planning & Forecasting

• Support budgeting, business planning, sales forecasting and strategic reviews.
• Monitor actual performance against plans and highlight deviations and business implications.

5. Business Process Improvement

• Identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements to enhance productivity and cost effectiveness.
• Standardise reporting processes, develop SOPs and support implementation of process improvement initiatives.

6. Projects & Strategic Initiatives

• Conduct business case and feasibility analyses for new initiatives and business opportunities.
• Track project milestones, deliverables, risks and outcomes while supporting strategic initiatives led by the Business Head.

7. Stakeholder Management

• Collaborate with country teams and cross-functional stakeholders, including Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement and Marketing.
• Coordinate regional reporting requirements and ensure timely, accurate data and effective utilisation of business insights.
