Alation Manta Data Platform Support and QA Engineer

Educational Requirements Service Line Responsibilities

• Support, monitor, and maintain Alation, MANTA, Arena, and related platforms.
• Execute manual and automated testing for platform features, integrations, APIs, and upgrades.
• Perform SQL-based data validation and troubleshoot platform issues.
• Manage incidents, changes, and service requests using ServiceNow.
• Monitor application health using Dynatrace, Splunk, and other tools.
• Develop automation scripts using Python and Shell scripting.
• Support Linux/Unix environments, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), and CI/CD processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure platform reliability and service excellence.
• Maintain operational and testing documentation and participate in Agile

Additional Responsibilities

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Technical and Professional Requirements

• 510 years of experience in Application Support, QA, Platform Operations, or DevOps.
• Experience with Alation, MANTA, Arena, or similar data governance/catalog tools.
• Strong SQL, Linux/Unix, API testing, and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of Python, Shell scripting, Git, and automation practices.
• Exposure to AWS/Azure cloud environments and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow, Rally, Dynatrace, and Splunk.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
